Remember, whether you take our site recommendations or not, make sure that you are playing on a site that you 100% trust. That factor needs to always be number one in your decision-making process above all else on this list.

Betting Options

You may or may not be aware that you can bet on a lot more than just the winner of a particular fight in the UFC. Some sites will only offer basic win/loss bets on the main card of UFC events. Other sites, though, will offer prop style bets on the fights allowing you to have the ability to leverage other predictions that you might have.

Imagine that you see an upcoming fight that you’re confident one fighter is going to win. That’s great, and you can make that bet and get paid for it. But, let’s say you’re also confident that fighter is going to win by submission. If the fight only offers win/loss bets, that’s not going to do you much good. However, if they offer prop style bets, you can bet that the fighter is going to win the fight by submission and take advantage of that prediction. Remember, making correct predictions like that typically pay off at a much higher rate due to the specificity of the bet.

We also look for sites that offer bets on the undercards and smaller UFC events. Some sites will only touch the main cards and the big ticket events. We want sites that allow you to bet on the entire card if you want to as well as some of the smaller events like the UFC Fight Nights and such.

The bottom line here is flexibility. While you might not take advantage of all of the different prop bets, you at least want to have them at your disposal when you have a prediction that needs to utilize them.

Betting and Transaction Limits (Professional Bettors Only)

Thankfully, most online sports books have fairly high betting and transaction limits. Usually, the limits are high enough to accommodate even some serious sports bettors, though, we wanted to mention this just in case. One thing that we look for are sites that have higher betting and transaction limits available in case you are a big bettor or someone who bets on the UFC for a living.

The worst thing that could happen if you’re a big bettor is that you can’t place the size of bet that you want or can’t get the amount of money you want to be loaded onto the site. Most sites are extremely accommodating, but there are a few that are behind the curve. Mainly we are trying to make sure that you don’t get blindsided by a site that is behind the curve and is not prepared to handle your level of action.

Again, this won’t affect 95%+ of you, but we want be as thorough as possible in our recommendations.

Website and User Interface

Since the last factor only affected a few of you, we wanted to follow it up with an extremely important one that is going to affect UFC bettors of all levels. Whether you are betting a few bucks or a boat load of money, you need to be betting on a site that is user-friendly.

You may be surprised to learn that this is not only important for your experience but can affect your bottom line as well. First, what is the user interface? The user interface refers to how the site is laid out and how easy they have made it to place your bets and accomplish everything that you want. Placing a bet on any sports betting site should be quick and easy and should not require a computer engineer to figure out.

You’d think this would be simple for a site to do but trust us, for some reason it is not. How can this affect your bottom line? We have seen way too many interfaces that remind us of the kid’s game Mouse Trap. They look like they’re set up to try and trick you into making a mistake. Now, of course, this is not the site’s goal as they don’t make any additional money when you make mistakes. But, their interfaces are so poorly designed that it’s inevitable that you’re going to make a mistake.

Imagine placing a bet and then watching a fight and thinking you’ve won only to find out that you accidentally bet on the wrong side of the fight. Save yourself this head and heartache and find a site with a great user interface. Again, fights should be easy to find, bets should be easy to locate, the odds should be well laid out in all formats, and you should be able to get your bet in with no headache quickly.

It shouldn’t be that hard for a site to deliver this but for some reason it is. Therefore, it’s imperative that you do your due diligence to find a site that has their act together.

Bonus Programs

It’s funny that this is last on our list, though, time and time again we hear that people use this as their number one criterion for picking out a sports betting site to bet the UFC on. Here comes the tough love. Bonus programs are great and all, but they should be viewed as the cherry on top. They should be the last thing you look at when you are trying to pick out a new betting home.

The reason for this is that a lot of sites that fail in the above categories will employ lucrative and juicy bonus programs to try and distract you from their underlying issues. Does this mean a site with a great bonus program is bad? Of course, it doesn’t. But it is something that can easily cloud your judgment and needs to be looked at last.

Frankly, we look at a site’s bonus programs and VIP program if we are having trouble deciding between a couple of sites that we’ve vetted on the above criteria. This is a sound strategy that you should take too to make sure that you don’t find yourself getting blinded by “free money”. How good is free money from a site if they’re having issues with reliability and paying that money out? The answer is that the bonus is therefore worthless. Take our advice here, please.

Different “Levels” of UFC Betting Sites

This section serves as a bit of a continuation of the “Betting Options” section above. Most sportsbooks will offer some level of action on UFC fights, though it’s going to vary quite a bit. We find that the different levels of offerings fall into three main categories.

Championship Bets Only

Some sites are only going to offer action on the main events or Championship fights. These sites will never offer action on the entire card and certainly will offer no action on the smaller events. You might be thinking to avoid these sites, right? Well, not so fast.

Sites like this are going to have the most uneducated betting public (usually). This means that you stand to find a lot of lines that are moved and swayed by the public perception. If you know anything about the betting public as a whole, you know that they are not regarded as being the smartest betting block. This means you’ll find a lot of value at these sites and could find some crazy good odds on fights. We recommend having an account on these sites and checking them every fight just in case the odds are amazing.

Popular Fight Bets

The sites we’re referring to here are the ones that are going to offer bets on most events and most main cards. Most likely, though, they’re not going to offer many or any prop bets and will only give you the ability to pick fight winners.

Now, this type of site may be perfect for you if you’re a recreational bettor who just likes to toss a few bucks on the fights for an added sweat. The simplicity and lack of options will give you a simpler to navigate experience. If you’re an aspiring professional bettor or someone who already bets for a living, this type of site might be inadequate for you. You need the flexibility to push on every edge you can find and every prediction you have even if it does not directly affect who will win the fight.

All Inclusive

The all inclusive UFC betting sites are the mack daddy of the choices. These sites will let you bet on every fight, and you’ll have every betting option available to man. This is perfect for serious bettors and those that love engrossing themselves in the complexities of the sport.

If you’re a recreational bettor, though, this may or may not be great to you. It’s probably going to depend a lot on the user interface of the site and how well they have the bet options organized. If they’re a little cluttered or designed for pro bettors, you may get lost and have a bad experience. If they’re still designed with recreational bettors in mind (which is possible), you’ll probably love the site.

Again, it all usually comes down to your personal preferences.
